Yesterday I gave my picks on gifts for my cousins and friends. Today is all about my mom. My mom is not only my best friend, but absolutely completely amazing. I really have no words to describe her, because she's awesome. She's been a sports mom, a booster mom, a single mom when my dad is deployed, a military wife, and works an extra full time job as a logistics manager. She is on her feet every day at work, so wearing long jewelry is out of the picture for her..and she doesn't wear earrings...or sparkly, fancy rings. Hey Everyone!
I have taken a blogging hiatus, but now I'm back! School has been totally nutso lately- had a huge exam to prepare for, plus patients, and class...the list is endless. But, the test is over (woo!) and I get my results this week (*fingers crossed*).

Here's what's new in my world of Stella & Dot:
The holiday's are around the corner and will be here before you know it! I am a student, by student I mean I take 26.5 credits a quarter, see patients, try to have a life and study. Therefore- I online shop. It's 1,000,000x easier for me. Yes, I do miss the hustle and bustle of the malls (especially since I live in Georgia and it doesn't really have the wintery feel for this northern gal); but, for the sake of convenience and my sanity I shop online.

Make Fall Fabulous

I know it's only October...Halloween hasn't even come and gone, Thanksgiving is around the corner, yet I am asking you to think about the holidays.

This year my family is doing Christmas at Thanksgiving. We are a proud military family, and my dad has been in Kuwait since July. His 2 weeks leave will be over Thanksgiving, so we are celebrating Thanksmas/Christgiving (Christmas and Thanksgiving) in November. Therefore...I have to start thinking about gifts NOW!

When I gift/ask for gifts, I think practical. I want to give and get a  gift that is practical, something that I can use more than once. So in the world of Stella & Dot  when choosing gifts I keep in mind 3 things: beautiful, affordable and versatile.

This holiday season we have 2 designer collaborations.

Alice Temperley is a famous British designer whose collection can be seen on Kate and Pippa Middleton. Her collection combines femininity with a cool British style.
